Golf Information

The golf club is situated in the heart of West Cork, a very beautiful part of Cork county. There are lovely views over the surrounding countryside. From the 12th hole you can see Skibbereen town to the east, the wooded hills around the unique salt water lake of Lough Hyne to the south, the harbour at Baltimore and Mount Gabriel to the west.
With its proximity to the sea and the Gulf Stream this area enjoys a mild climate and the course is playable all year round.
There is a nine hole course at Duneen and the Dunmore and Lisselan golf courses at Clonakilty are also nearby. The links course at Kinsale is a half an hour drive as is Blarney, Macroom and Bandon.
Seven courses within a 15 minute drive!

Accommodation

Accommodation:
Sea Spray - sleeps 5 people. Double bed in bedroom no 1 , with patio door and balcony and ensuite. Double bed in bedroom no 2 , single in no 3. Comfortable, fully equipped kitchen / living area with wood burning stove for winter evenings. Gas central heating.

Sand Dune - sleeps 6 people. Double bed with ensuite shower room, double bed in the second bedroom , two singles in the third. Open plan, fully equipped kitchen / living area with wood burning stove. Gas central heating.

Electronically controlled gates with parking for two cars per property.
Bed linen and towels provided.

Information

	Local Information: Owenahincha Hotel 100 yards. Fantastic surfing beach close by. Castlefreake castle and woods are nearby. Warren Beach is a short cliff walk away and there is pitch & putt and tennis court at Warren. Rosscarbery village is 2 km and boasts a leisure centre at the hotel as well as tennis and basketball courts, childrens play area, restaurants and shops. Whale & dolphin watching are based at Union Hall and Glandore (a short drive) which makes Sandycove an ideal holiday base for West Cork.
	Activities: Ownahinch Beach has great surfing and The Warren and Inchydoney beaches are nearby. Scuba diving, snorkelling, sailing, kayaking, and surfing are very popular sports this in the area. Surfing lessons at Inchydoney, water skiing at Ring Pier. Sea Kayaking, day & night trips available from Union Hall. Golf & Pitch & putt a short drive away at Skibbereen, or Clonakilty. Horse riding & bicycle hire available locally.
