| | | | | | | | Golf Information | | | | | | Aphrodite Golf Course has been carved out of a “forest” of carob and olive trees on two high plateaus divided by a dramatic ravine, overlooking the sea, across from the “Rock of Aphrodite”, the legendary birthplace of the goddess. All but a few golf holes have a spectacular view of the sea and from the start of the game golfers are introduced to the history & culture of the location with an 18th Century kiln that lies in the centre of the fairway of the first hole. It is a world-class, championship standard 18-hole, par 71/70 golf course, with a 350-metre double-ended driving range, including a 3 hole academy and superb short game facilities, designed by Cabell Robinson. The total course length is 6,299 meters, with hole 7 being the signature hole and one of the most spectacular par 3's in Europe. It really must be seen, the ride down to tee is straight out of Indiana Jones. | | Activities: Aphrodites Hills is a great resort with it 18 hole Championship course designed by Cabell Robinson and offers a 3 hole practise course driving range/chipping and putting greens and a golf academy for adults and junior. The course has been reveiwed in Todays Golfer issue 248 and the verdict is it is a must to be played with its outstanding holes and views. There are also two other course nearby at Secret Valley and Tsada.
The Troodos Mountains are one hour away and offer outstanding skiing conditions January to March; it is also a great day out for walking or cycling in the spring. At the top there are some very enjoyable tavernas, well worth a trip, with breathing views
