Four holes are strung out along the edge of the cliffs overlooking the Atlantic with another six lying adjacent. The remainder are inland, four of them lightly wooded with a hint of heathland. The result is a championship par 72 golf course of 6,625 meteres (7,095 yards) which provides a genuine challenge for golfers of all standards. Golf World Magazine has recently voted the course the 13th best in mainland Europe and it is considered the best in Portugal by the 2003 Peugeot Guide.
